Ion's chair broke...I wanted to play with it, too. [He pauses for a moment, thinking. If Ion's chair is broken, then does somebody have to carry him around? Or do they find a new chair? Or--oh hey there's a big stick under his bed he'd totally forgotten about that.]

...Is there a special way to punch people? Like how there's special ways to use a sword, and you have to practice and all of that. So maybe I could learn to fight like that, and then I could save the day and be a hero and ride a dragon and--

[He's been lifting the journal higher and higher over his head as he says this from his position on the floor, to the point that it's practically touching the floor--which is when it slips out of his fingers and falls shut. Oops.]

[Jade observes the video, then quietly shuts his journal and makes his way to Florian's room. If Florian of all people is asking for something vaguely resembling training, he cannot see this ending well. The colonel soon appears in Florian's doorway. with as warm a greeting as he can muster spoilers it actually sounds quite neutral in tone.]

[Florian sits up when he hears that voice, his headdress sitting a little skewed from his earlier lying on the floor, and offers the colonel a friendly smile.]

Well, I don't think there's anything wrong with that. Though I'm afraid I don't know much about fighting, myself. All I've ever used are fonic artes.

You seem far too peaceful to be a fighter, Florian. But it never hurts to learn how to defend yourself for protection.

Do I? I don't really like battles and stuff, but when I see people doing all their sword training and things like that I kind of want to try too.

There are a great many ways to punch a person, depending on the damage you wish to do.

As I said. That would depend on whether you wish to warn the person or whether you wish to send them flying. It's all in the swing, though you must pay mind to where you are hitting.

Well, you also need to know the right way to punch, but it helps a lot if you're strong. At least, that's how it always seems to go in all of the books I've read.
