[Hello Luceti, the Ion on your screen today is actually Florian wearing a colored paper headdress with green feathers taped onto it. Also his old newfeather dress, because why not. Lying on the floor in a sudden fit of ennui, he picks up his journal for some chatting.]

Ion's chair broke...I wanted to play with it, too. [He pauses for a moment, thinking. If Ion's chair is broken, then does somebody have to carry him around? Or do they find a new chair? Or--oh hey there's a big stick under his bed he'd totally forgotten about that.]

...Is there a special way to punch people? Like how there's special ways to use a sword, and you have to practice and all of that. So maybe I could learn to fight like that, and then I could save the day and be a hero and ride a dragon and--

[He's been lifting the journal higher and higher over his head as he says this from his position on the floor, to the point that it's practically touching the floor--which is when it slips out of his fingers and falls shut. Oops.]

[Jade observes the video, then quietly shuts his journal and makes his way to Florian's room. If Florian of all people is asking for something vaguely resembling training, he cannot see this ending well. The colonel soon appears in Florian's doorway. with as warm a greeting as he can muster spoilers it actually sounds quite neutral in tone.]

[Aang's kind of stuck on that one point.]

[Florian sits up when he hears that voice, his headdress sitting a little skewed from his earlier lying on the floor, and offers the colonel a friendly smile.]

[He did notice that the time at the spa, Ion did seem to be acting entirely different the two times he "met" him there. But now he's starting to pinpoint the differences better - this has to be the one he ran through the hallways with.]

People who know how to fight! There's lots of them around, so there's a pretty good chance I'll find one this way.

Yes, kid. Lot's of people 'round here can fight, but not all of them can teach or are willing to train someone from the bottom up.

There's also some around here who might not be very nice. You really don't want someone like that around.

[Okay, he could comment on the chair thing, but the second part is just too ridiculous to ignore.]

[His chair...? Punching? Sometimes, it's just not easy to follow Florian's train of thought. It was even more wandering than Colette's.]

You seem far too peaceful to be a fighter, Florian. But it never hurts to learn how to defend yourself for protection.

I think I'm strong enough! But the punch training will help.

But if they don't want to teach, then they wouldn't offer, right?
