I don't really know where or what Daath is like, but if that's the place you lived then that counts.

Um...I don't know. What are stained glass panels?

They're just.. like, windows, but with different colored glass.

Oh, those. The cathedral has those, yeah! They're pretty.

I haven't really seen any close up but they always looked pretty from pictures. I was originally from Japan, so we had a lot more shrines and temples than cathedrals. Then there wasn't anything like that in the second place I was in. I haven't seen anything here yet either.

I don't think I've ever seen a shrine or a temple before. Does this place really have none of those? Does it just have houses?

There are shops and restaurants, but I haven't seen any kind of religious buildings at all.

Oh. Restaurants have food in them right? And shops have other things.

Yeah. None of it costs any money either.

Somewhat. You have to act and behave like a normal student, then you get meal tickets. If you don't behave, you don't get meal tickets, and you starve. Or you steal tickets from a bunch of.. [ Hm, how to explain this. This kid probably doesn't know anything about video games. ] Basically a bunch of robots who don't need to eat anyway, but have them so that it seems normal.

[....he's not entirely sure he understands that, but.] So you get food if you're good, and if you're bad you have to look for robots?

Well, almost everyone there wasn't.. they weren't real people, but they acted like they were. [ Close enough. ]

[now he's just confused.] But if they weren't real people, and they didn't have to eat, then what were they?

Like I said, similar to robots. There were just us, and them.
