[florian has been wandering around the village today, peeking in shops, attempting to climb trees, stalking bugs through the grass. the usual thing. he might have even run into one of you wonderful lucetians, it's a definite possibility.

it's been a really long time since he actually properly wrote in this journal thing of his, too, come to think of it - so sometime this afternoon, after a good few hours of running around, he sits down on the ground somewhere and asks an important question.]

I just thought of something...how do you know what you're not supposed to eat? Like, you can eat spinach but you shouldn't eat leaves.

...Do deer eat leaves? Maybe I can eat them after all...

You could probably get better tasting leaves at the grocery store though, no cross-referencing to make sure they're not poisonous required.

Well, you could take up farming, but it's a lot of work, and you can't eat just any leaves.

Deer have different stomachs. Just as geese can eat grass; but most things can't.

It is very difficult. Lots of patience and attention are required.

Yes. People can eat a lot of things deer can't. Most things people eat, deer cannot.

Usually, yes. If you're willing to put in the hardwork and time, then yes.

That's probably for the best. You might be able to find some lettuce seeds in one of the shops though if you're interested.
